Traveling this summer? Try a spin on the quintessential road trip game Twenty Questions. We call it Monster 20 Questions. It goes a little something like this.
'OK, I've Got One!'
'Does it have wings?' 'no.'
'Does it have fur?' 'yes.'
'Does it have big feet?' 'yes.'
'Big Foot!!" 'you got it!!!'
Since the younger people in our house have a more limited repertoire of monsters in their arsenals, they've resorted to creating their own (which makes the game infinitely more difficult - akin to mind-reading). Fortunately, once invented, a few favorites keep circulating. Namely, Lucy's favorite is Gho-la-va (a ghost, lach ness monster, vampire mix), and Victor likes the Dotdodile monster (we're not exactly sure what that one is). Daddy is the most creative and literary among us, choosing not Frankenstein but Frankenstein's Monster, just to throw us all for a loop.
A Spin-off of our new favorite game is "Flying Car 20 Questions" invented by our local 3-year-old vehicle fanatic.
You get the idea.
Happy traveling!
