This morning, the kids starting exclaiming about something outside. Turns out, we had a pair of Eastern Bluebirds in our backyard. What a treat!
We also had one of these. It's a Three-toed Woodpecker. It was cool to see up close, until I read that they like to peck at dead trees. I knew our apple tree was sick, but I thought there was still hope. Guess not.
